PROTOCOL
Thank you for choosing Galahad to breed your dream Friesian /
Friesian cross.
Please be guided by the following protocol for our services:
- Contact Linda to reserve your booking.
- Collections are available from February 1 to
September 30.
- Fresh chilled semen collection occurs Monday,
Wednesday, and Friday. Please call Saturday or Sunday for a Monday
collection and shipping. Call Monday or Tuesday for Wednesday
collection and shipping. Call Wednesday or Thursday for Friday
collection and shipping. All semen orders must be received by 4:30pm
CST the day before the requested collection date.
- Stud Fee is due in advance of
collection.
- Semen is evaluated and processed at time of
collection.
- Bred Mares are to be checked for pregnancy by
a licensed veterinarian approximately 15-16 days after ovulation, then
again at approximately 45 days after insemination.
